The most captivating element of the EXT is the purple machined faceplate with the prominent and magnificent X design. The elegant deep purple color anodization is a special VE custom color, proudly showing off the VE brand. A vacuum-metalized aluminum mesh is elegantly sparkling underneath the open structure, giving the dynamic drivers air to breathe and freedom to unfold their rumbling power. Due to a voltage transformer inside the earphone shell, the EST tweeters don't require an external power source and instead can be powered by a high quality but powerful amp inside your DAP. 2019 brought the 1st ;generation of the Sonion EST drivers, but the more recent 2nd generation is state of the art with a higher output SPL and ability to use use dual EST drivers,\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDynamic Drivers\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eA dedicated 9.2mm for the lows and 6mm for the mids are equipped with a Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) surround which allows the driver to perform with very low THD. The Al-Mg Alloy diaphragm of these drivers are light but stiff which makes the performance surprisingly fast, very deep, and precise. A strong Rare Earth N52 Neodymium Magnet allow the driver to perform better in more demanding situations with less distortion at any operating level.
